Anime no Kai at the University of Houston

Welcome Anime no Kai's Official Homepage!

Founded in 1994, Anime no Kai is a small anime fanclub based at the University of Houston's main campus. We have meetings and anime screenings to introduce and promote the wonder of Japanese animation to both established fans and the general public.

As an active UH student community, we invite everyone to weekly Friday anime screenings. In addition, we also hold weekly members-only Wednesday showings as well as co-screenings with GLOBAL, a fellow UH student organization. Throughout the year we also hold other events such as special screenings and Anime no Kon, our own local anime convention! Update: Friday, January 13^th, 2006:
Welcome back to another semester with Anime no Kai!! Watch the forums closely because there are some exciting events happening this semester. Dates to note:

Saturday, February 11th, 2006: Shinichiro Watanabe, director of such well-known series as Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, will be appearing in our local Houston in February. Discuss it in the forums here!

Friday, February 17th, 2006: Anime no Kon — Anime no Kai's own anime convention!!

Update: Wednesday, January 11^th, 2006:
A new Anime no Kai constitution has been drafted. Now we just need to hold a vote! Come to the first week's screening on Monday, January 20 to cast your vote. Everyone's vote is valued in helping us move forward. See you there!!
